Given the proximity of the Western Wall to where the Holy of Holies in the Temple once stood, if you haven’t already, try to plan a trip in your lifetime to visit the Western Wall where you can offer a prayer and maybe even leave a note tucked into the crevices within the stones.
In the tenth Mishna in this week’s chapter, chapter six of Pirkei Avot, Ethics of the Fathers, we are taught that the Almighty set aside for himself five possessions in this world, and one of them was the Temple in Jerusalem.
