Appreciate how every action in Jewish life, even seemingly mundane ones like tying a bow tie on Shabbat, potentially have implications under Jewish law. This Shabbat, the Jewish community will study the 3rd and 4th chapters of Pirkei Avot, Ethics of the Fathers. In Mishna 8 of the 4th chapter, we are taught that whoever honors the Torah and its laws is himself/herself honored by people. To enjoy a particularly uplifting and inspiring Shabbat, print out your copy of Pirkei Avot this afternoon.
