Human nature sometimes compels us to reject personal responsibility and accountability. Even during a moment of physical pain when there might actually be a period of regret and contemplation, it is often fleeting, and sometimes disappears completely when the pain is lifted. The better approach is to appreciate the good when we can and not to lose focus on how to properly live our lives.
