I didn't read this post till tonight, Monday the 28th, but amazingly I _did_ bake challah last Friday, since I had the extra time while my employer was closed. I used the "Grandma Rosie Bread Machine Challah" recipe (see google) and when the machine was finished with the dough, made my first ever six-braid loaf. Came out really nice for Erev Shabbos.
