As we celebrate Shushan Purim tomorrow, enjoy another hamentashen and something extra at your Shabbat meals.
There is much to learn from the dialogue between Esther and Mordechai and Mordechai’s admonition to Esther about what will transpire if she fails to act. We should celebrate Purim with the realization that, sometimes, courageous steps are necessary that may eventually positively impact upon the Jewish people.
To truly appreciate the underlying storyline of Purim, read this illuminating analysis entitled, “The Story of Esther–Making Choices for Jewish Destiny” from Rabbi Ephraim Z. Buchwald’s Torah message for Kee Tisah 5783-2023. Out of respect for Shabbat, please consider printing it on Friday afternoon if you plan to read it on Shabbat.
