As God is everywhere, try and remember that all of our actions are performed in the presence of the Divine.
While we can understand the concept of the Mishkan, a physical sanctuary where the Jewish people could focus on their relationship with the Almighty, there is also an element of creating a sanctuary for the Al-mighty within a person’s heart.
To better appreciate this concept, read this illuminating analysis entitled, “Make for Me a Sanctuary, and I Shall Dwell in Their Midst” from Rabbi Ephraim Z. Buchwald’s Torah message for Terumah 5784-2024 .Out of respect for Shabbat, please consider printing it on Friday afternoon if you plan to read it on Shabbat.
