Just before lighting candles for Shabbat, say a prayer for those you know who need to be healed or are waiting to meet their soul mate.
The Talmud Baba Kamma 92a notes that if a person prays for someone else and he/she needs assistance concerning an illness or a specific personal challenge, that individual will be answered even before the person for whom the individual was praying.
To learn more about the incredible power of prayer, read this enlightening analysis entitled “The Exceptional Power of Prayer” from Rabbi Ephraim Z. Buchwald’s Torah message for Toledot 5777-2016. Out of respect for the Shabbat, please consider printing it on Friday afternoon if you plan to read it on Shabbat.
