Recognize the significant role that Vichna Kaplan played in launching the Beth Jacob schools for Jewish girls in America.
As a result of Vichna Kaplan’s herculean efforts, thousands of Jewish girls received a Jewish education. The sixth Mishna of the fourth chapter in Pirkei Avot, Ethics of the Fathers teaches an incredibly important idea: One who studies Torah in order to teach, is given the means to study and to teach; and one who studies in order to practice, is given the means to study to teach, to observe and to practice.
To learn more about the importance of studying Torah and its ripple effect upon each individual person, and upon others, print out the fourth chapter of Ethics of the Fathers this afternoon and join thousands of fellow Jews around the globe who will be enjoying an uplifting experience and inspired discussions this Shabbat.
