If there’s any universal message the Chabad movement would want absorbed in memory of the Seventh Rebbe, it would be to perform mitzvot (good deeds) and connect Jewishly.
We are taught in the second Mishnah of the fourth chapter of Pirkei Avot, Ethics of the Fathers, that a person should run to perform a mitzvah rather than a sin since one mitzvah leads to another mitzvah. To learn more about the intrinsic value of the performance of mitzvot, print out the fourth chapter of Ethics of the Fathers this afternoon and join thousands of fellow Jews around the globe who will be enjoying an uplifting experience and inspired discussions this Shabbat.
