Learn more about Rabbi Moses Schorr, a noted academic who dedicated his time and energy to the Jewish people and the Jewish community in pre-war Europe.
There are many beautiful adages found in the third chapter of Pirkei Avot, Ethics of the Fathers, that we will study this coming Shabbat. One of them seems to exemplify who Rabbi Schorr was and the characteristics necessary to succeed as a leader: “…But one whose good deeds exceed his wisdom, to what is he likened? To a tree whose branches are few but whose roots are numerous; even if all the winds of the world were to come and blow against it, they could not budge it from its place.”
To learn more and appreciate the breadth of wisdom contained in the Torah, print out the third chapter of Ethics of the Fathers this afternoon before Shabbat and join thousands of fellow Jews around the globe who will be enjoying an uplifting experience and inspired discussions this Shabbat.
